Bottle. Copper color with a thin white head and no lacing to speak of. Aroma is cereal grain and sweet malt. Taste is same with nutty, sweet caramel notes. Not what I was hoping for... and in all honesty, its another failure from Summit IMHO

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is caramel malt with some toasted bread. Flavor is some toasted maltiness with a bit of cracker meal and a slight bitterness. A little wet paper bag at the end but it is minor. Probably true to the style but a style can go either way for me.

At Summit. True to style of a central European Vienna. Lots of dry malt and a light, dough finish. Amber color, and some very light caramel.

12oz bottle. Clean glowing orange-tan body. Foamy white/off-white head. The aroma is sort of macro, some muted noble hops. The taste is better, but this is a pretty mundane beer for the Unchained series. This is what the regular Summit Marzen/Fest should taste like. Doesn’t really nail it at all, would be more acceptable if they had a killer Fest beer they wanted to show off. Just a hint better than average. Balanced, but kind of sugary and effervescent, whereas I’d hope for malty and mellow. OK.
