Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Chestnut with a tight cream head; light rye aroma; soft grainy body with some caramel and a touch of spice; then nicely balanced with some sour grains to finish.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is yeast, light fruity hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, light grainy, fruit, light metallic hop, light spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask handpull at moon under water Watford JDW. Dull amber coloured pour with a halo of greyish head. Aroma is earthy twig, nutty, earthy grains, hint of smoke. Little stale choc on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of mixed malts, nutty, choc, raisin, English yeast esters. Palate is mid sweet, mod carbonation. Little tangy in the finish. OK.
