Pours dark brown with a large head.Nose shows pine, lychee, passion fruit, soft roast and bready/biscuity malt.Flavours include more lychee, lemon, soft roasted malt and gentle acidity.

Taster at GABS Auckland 2017. Lemon, toast, grapefruit pith, quite a tangy tart citrus thing going on. Sour, black, hoppy. Surprisingly well balanced. Fun.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of mocha, citrus, pineapple; some odd under-ripe tropical fruit notes are the hint that it’s going to be sour. 7+ And then it’s only kind of - mostly seems tropical fruity astringent. Lightish bodied for 7.5% with moderate carbonation. Somewhat astringent and moderately bitter, not much coming from the malt side of things. It’s clever but just a party balloon.
