Tap at the brewpub. As Spitfire Best Bitter. Pours orange/gold with a creamy white head. Floral aroma. Creamy medium body. Floral and caramel flavors. Very smooth floral, mild bitter finish. Brilliant.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours deep gold with copper core and thin white head. The aroma has noble hoppiness and grassiness with mild malts and grains off in the background. The taste begins with a quick pulse of sweet malts that are soon vanquished by a hoppy assault of spicy hops, some graininess and a modest level of earthy hops. The hops get pretty tart with bitterness by midway and into the finish.

Amber colour. Toasty, slightly grassy aroma with hints of earthy complexity. The body is a bit thin but the earthy, toasty complexity remains. Nice brew, probably Flyers’ best.
