I got this one in my beer club. I have never heard of the brewer before. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby chestnut color with a small tan head that faded quickly. The aroma was sweet and grapefruity. The flavor was fruity, nutty and lightly earthy with a sweet nutty finish.

Pour is of course red with a fine white head. Aroma in mine is a very faint roasted smell. Flavor is again roasted malts but not much else. I don’t really get many hops but I guess they are there. Ok for those looking for a malty brew and not much else.

Bottled. This is a very likeable li'l beer. Pleasant roast malt smell, pours a light tannish head over a firm brown body with suspended traces of grist. A fine crystal roast malt flavor, hint of caramel, well contrasted by an English hop bitterness. Hops are not quite peppery, more like a basil spiciness. Very agreeable, and I'm happy I opened this after the problematic Orange Moose.
