This 9.0% ABV imperial stout starts off with loads of chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt flavors. Hops and lactose in the boil add balancing bitterness and residual sweetness. Sea salt in the boil, cacao nibs and caramel in the fermenter make this a salty sweet dessert stout.

Can Tavour: pours black with beige head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate. Taste is lightly salty, slightly roasty, chocolate, caramel. A bit thin. Slightly bitter. Fine. Whatever.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of salted caramel, chocolate, macchiato coffee, dark bread. Pours inky black with a two finger tan head with excellent retention. Taste is moderately sweet with a moderate bitter edge; flavors of salted caramel, although it isn’t exactly salty. Nice dessert stout.
