Our English brown ale brewed with a touch of smoked malt. An earthy, wood smoke aroma leads into a flavor profile with hints of chocolate, caramel, and an underlying pleasant smokiness.

Pours mahogany-tinged deep brown into a willi. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Smoked bacon and pumpernickel aromas. Thin with bacon and smoked meats upfront turning to earthy, charred brown bread and espresso in the dry, lasting finish. Becomes cloying over time.

16 oz can poured, sent over by Jow. Thanks! Smoked anything is great in my book. Dark and dense brown pour with tons of loose tan foam. Toasty malt nose with a hint of peat. Lots of toast on the flavor, soft char, bold, but also barely sweet. Long lingering smokey malt. Really nice brew here.

Can at home watching Bruins. See brown pour and pretty beige head. Nose is smoke and some cocoa. Tatses of caramel, rye, smoke, pumpernickel, cocoa powder. Smooth palate. Smoke lingers on palate and not over whelming. Pleasant brew on this stormy night.

Aroma of smokiness, nutty caramel and cigarette ash. Taste is campfire, slight toffee comes through. Plenty of smoked malt. It is somewhat balanced. This is not my style at all. For what it is, it is good.
