Mild pleasant bitterness with a blend of vanilla/cinnamon/oak/chocolate on the nose. A grassy and mildly spicy and citrusy palate washed over additional notes of vanilla and oak on the back.
The perfect cozy sweater beer!

Nice bright red and amber coloured body with a light tan head, only a centimetre or so tall. Aroma of crisp toasted grain with some light spice notes as well, with a light hit of toffee and caramelised sugars with some bitterness here from the malts. Medium-bodied; Pretty strong toasted malt notes with some light fruit notes, but a lot more spice components and some nice caramelised sugars that give this a warming quality, perhaps as intended. Aftertaste is balanced nicely with a lot of malt complexity, some rich sugars of brown sugar, toffee and some pitted fruit notes, but the spices and vanilla hit at the end as well, providing a well-rounded flavour. Overall, pretty nice and great to sample, especially with the light bitterness from the hops, but a good well-rounded, quite malty and sweet beer, great for the season, especially here on the streets of New York! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 02-December-2022 for US$3,99 sampled while walking the streets of New York at Christmastime with my family on 02-December-2022.

Cam, from Trader Joe's. Pours faintly murky dark brown with faint red highlights, foamy beige head, very faint roasted malt aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter roasted malt taste with faint woodsy flavor, thin body, long finish. Not very exciting.

Draught at Beer Zaar: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is slightly woody, cinnamon, hints of vanilla. Taste is sort of sweet, lightly malty, some mild roast. I do not love this style but this was pretty drinkable.
