Bottle. Deep, dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is that of coffe, chocolate, vanillia with a tad of spicy hops. Taste is mostly coffee with a touch of hops.

Can from huskertan: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is overwhelming amounts of peanut butter. Taste is again, peanut butter. Kind of sweet. Low bitterness. Wow too much. Fairly smooth.

Tastes better than the score implies, but damn what an ugly pour, lacking lace or head or anything necessary for a pretty pint. Chocolate and caramel and mild vanilla notes never grow sweet--a nice touch--while the back end grows dry and unexpectedly bitter. Lacks depth, though, with the adjuncts adding superficial flourishes that never quite connect with the base stout underneath. 8% ABV remains hidden, making for a nice, creamy stout texture. Candy bar nose is nice as well. Not bad, but should be better.

22 oz bomber courtesy of Suttree. The pour is a hazy brown black with a large khaki head. The aroma is stale coffee, roast and a light vanilla sweetness. The taste is a weird sweetness up front, turns towards the roast in finishes fairly strong with the stale coffee. As the beer warmed, the sweetness at the start settled down a lot, making this more drinkable. The palate is medium to light bodied with a coffee acidity and a weird synthetic char finish. This was not really my thing. Thanks Phil, enjoyed trying a new brewery.

Bomber courtesy of Suttree. Thanks! Pours a dark brown color with a faint attempt at a head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, slight ash and mild roast. The taste is chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, a mild bitter roast finish. Thin-medium bodied. The taste is very reminiscent of bitter chocolate and it’s growing on me as I drink it.

On tap at the Rocket City Brewfest. Pours pitch black with a large tan head. The aroma is strong black coffee, tobacco, and hazelnut. The flavor is a charred bitterness, with limited malt sweetness. The palate is heavy, syrupy, and has a long bitter finish. Overall, a very strong stout, with a lot of flavor, but little balance.
