Undeniably different, we are proud to introduce Rauk, our signature smoked beer that is packed with fun and excitement.
The beer malt is delicately smoked, then infused with noble hops with pine and floral notes. Ideal as a finisher of a meal or around the open fire in a cosy autumn night.
An English beer with German accent, this ale is inspired by the Rauchbier (smoked lager) from Bamberg.

--Bottled, thanks Bearbeer! -- Hazy golden, small head. Intense charcuterie smoke aroma. Tart with light to medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Smoked ham, peat and lemon. Low to medium bitterness. Infected.

Bottle from Teardrop in Oxford Covered Market. Hazy orange-yellow. Bit of a gusher, but eventually settled down to a thin white head with a mild to middling fizz. Lemon up front, then light woodsmoke. It's sweetish and feels a bit thin. It's ok if a little underwhelming. It's a bit disappointing compared to this friendly brewer's other offerings. Still love the paper wrap on the bottle though.

Bottle from the Offie, drunk at home during the lockdown. Dark orangeish tan, clear with a smattering of white head. Enticing if slightly odd aroma with gummy resin, caramel, some citrus peel and a good dollop of smoke. Taste is really odd: bittersweet and smoky with a mouth-puckering sourness. The sourness barely abates through to the long finish. Light watery body, heavy carbonation. Messy doesn't begin to describe it, but it's intriguing, and I get used to the weirdness.
