TCBW2024. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is smoked, some alcohol, toffee and mild wooden tones to it. Flavour is smoked, some peat, mild wooden tones with some slight liquorice and roasted tones. Quite boozy finish.

Sample@TCBW2024 Opaque colour and tiny brownish head. Roasted with touch of smoke in the nose. Full-bodied. Sweetish, malty, some smoke in the finish. Would like it drier.

Bottle, while listening to Dopesmoker, because how the fuck else are you going to drink this? Dark brown. Inky. No head. The aroma has a nice charred molasses richness, medium esters and a boozy bourbon accent. On the palate, deep fruitiness, layered chocolate, abundant bourbon lending barrelly depth. The smoke shows just a bit towards the finish - like drinking regular Midnight Still near smouldering embers. I mean, I do love that finishing hit of smoke.

Power tasting at Ryan's, bottle, year 2021
Black colour, medium head, brown. The aroma is mineral, iodine, smoke, cacao. Soft mouthfeel, medium body strength, the alcohol is a bit too prominent; dark chocolate, salty, some peat, meat, Bourbon.

500ml @ Ryan's with Andrey and a gang. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: smoke and iodine, some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, good body, moderate smoke and iodine. Overall: pretty good, but not on the level of other Midnight Still for me just because I don't really appreciate smoke and iodine in beers. Those who like islay whiskeys, I believe, will like it.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Black with minimal tan head. Lots of peaty smoke, mild bourbon, unbalanced. Still good, but could be better.
