Bag in a box from the brewer's own bar at the Bracknell Festival of Food and Music (great free community festival by the way, we had a great time here!). Amber with a white head. Good condition. Fruity up front, dry earthy bitterness to follow. The bitterness was quite harsh initially - after the first sip I thought I was going to struggle with it, but it grew on me and I was quite liking it by the end. A surprisingly good match for a wild mushroom massaman.

Tap at West Berkshire Brewery Tap, 2nd May 2021. Pours an amber beer. Aroma is muted, citrus. Taste is watery, some caramel and a citrus bite to it. Not great, but passable

500ml bottle from an Eton deli. Poured a hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, light citrus, mineral. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, earthy, mineral, light pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Best Before June 2021. Not great. Very rough around the edges.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Nil aroma. Hazy light amber. Thin bubbly white head. Medium bitter. All quinine. Light bodied. Slick. Flat. Long astringent finish. They've gone for hoppy but it lacks dimension. Average at best.

Cask at the New Leathern Bottle, Warfield. A straw coloured pour with a thin white head; aroma of sour grains; sour in the mouth with a smooth grainy body, and a herbal bitterness adding a touch of spice; before a bisuity finish.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 20/10/2017. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. A touch of leafy hop, sweetish, rich tea malts and hint of stone fruit, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask ½ pint at Hope & Anchor, Wokingham, on June 14, 2017.Malty, a tad fruity, bitter taste. Bitter, harsh aftertaste. Medium full low CO2 mouthfeel, medium to medium high bitterness enhanced by that harsh twig like resin. Clear pale golden color, white head with lacing. Malty, fruity, also some off scent like cardboard. Not very impressed, sadly enough since it is brewed in Wokingham and I had it in Wolkingham, a bit too old?4/3/5/3/9=2.4
