Bottle from the Blue Glass, Bedford. Reddish-brown with a creamy off-white head. Low aroma: some caramelly-malty notes but that’s all. Taste is also malt led and one-dimensional, but there’s a nice hop balance in the bitter finish, and I can’t deny that it’s refreshing. However, this is as traditionally British as beer gets, and there isn’t a lot of flavour going on.
