Tap at the Queen Street Brewery, Colchester. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting white head. Aroma of sour fruit, light chocolate, bread, malt, wood, and yeast. Medium plus sweetness with light bitterness and acidic sourness. Medium body and thick texture. Carbonation is average. Big difference of opinion about this one in our group, but it clicked with me.

Chelmsford Beer Festival.Cloudy amber ale. Bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with low carbonation. Sweetish beer. Sweetish caramel malt, slightly viscous. Dried fruits. Pinch of spice and a whisper of herb. Finishes smooth. Tastes okay but is somewhat chewy which really reduces drinkability.
