Bottle via the online shop. Slightly muddy pale gold. Slim off white foam. Loads of barrel here. Oaky and vinous. Some oxidation. Taste has a fruity sweetness. Bit of booze. Slick and oily. Not particularly saison like. Nevertheless it’s a 2 year BA job and it’s not boring and also I love Buxton despite whatever is happening.

Spotty off white & collar on an unclear full golden coloured body.
Earthy, vinous & zesty aroma.
Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a sticky back.
Oak, zesty, herbal, orange & apple tastes with a very tangy finish.
Nice stuff.

Bottle on the 1213 EUS-MAP, from HOTM online, 04/10/24. Clear golden to light amber topped with an off white covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is tangy fruit esters, damp oak, hay bale, vanilla, grape must, light funk. Taste comprises green berry must, modest funk, damp cloth, tannins, herb, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a subtle acidic nip. Not bad ... no Wow.

330ml bottle from Buxton Brewery online shop. A slightly hazy golden/straw coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Surprisingly sweet, vinous, citrus, white wine with a hint of grape. Rather drinkable.

A light haze on this gold orange beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth light pale malts, a mild creamy sweetness. The white wine barrelling dominates here, and more than happy that is does given the style. Soft winey grape, rich and winey ripe. Venturing into white Port territory. Mild ripe citrus is a tiny undertone. Light smooth finish. All about the barrell. Again. And again, absolutely fine with that.
