Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Thanks to Leighton. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft smooth dark malts, mild malt cream and a little dark chocolate. Good smooth piney hops. Some berry fruits and mild hop spice. Tangy fruity finish. Nice.

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced from the Lab. Bit of a gusher. Pours rich brown with a creamy, beige head. A little funky burnt toast on the nose, nips of pine, cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour moderate ashy roast, more cocoa, faint funk. Medium bodied with active carboantion. Finishes with drying bitter roast, mild cocoa, scorched earth. Not bad - the gushing notwithstanding.
