Once a year we brew a crazy beer for Newcastle Beer Fest's battle of the Beers. This is 2018's insane submission. Introducing the New Sound. A Blood Orange Wheat beer full of the orangiest hops and the bloodiest of oranges. It's like liquid music.

'A juicy wheat beer crammed full of Mandarina Bavaria, Wai-iti and Blood Orange zest.'

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 23 May 2018) Pale amber colour, slightly hazy, with foamy white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and pineapple. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple, slightly soapy wheat flavours and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

29/5/2018. Cask at the Bridge Tavern, Newcastle. Pours dark golden with a small creamy just off-white head. Aroma of herb, malt, grass, citrus, straw and vanilla. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, creamy texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 6th May 2018. Hazy gold with shallow foam and almost no lacing. Malty aroma with citrus fruits and pungent yeasts. Zesty hoppiness in-mouth, and a fruity finish.
