Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 2nd April 2018. Virtually black with light tan foam and no lacing. Coffee aroma. Intense bitter chocolate and coffee roastiness in-mouth, and a roasty finish. Full-bodied with an engaging texture.

Cask gravity at Wallington 2014. It pours near black with a thick beige head. The nose rich roast, earth, big coffee, soy sauce, bovril and light cocoa. The taste is smooth, bitter, coffee, earth, roast, cocoa, light umami and mild acidity with a dry , roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Great condition. Soy sauce nose is a bit offputing. Decent enough though.
