Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours dark brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, yeast, saison yeast, spice, pepper, mint, herbs. Flavor is light bitter, malt, yeast, spicy, mint, herbal. Medium body, average to lively carbonation, dry and light bitter finish. 130517

From tap. Pours hazy brown with a huge brown head. Aroma is herbal and spiced. Toasted and dark malty. Dry, bitter and herbal into the finish.

Sampled @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2017, Green Session. Fast klare orange braune Farbe. Geruch nach Kaffee Karamell, Kekse, sehr hopfig. Geschmack ist karamellig malzig, nussig, rote Früchte.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a spicy molasses, chocolate, furniture shampoo (in a good way), other spices, earthy almost tobacco and then more chocolate. The taste delivers a blend of earthy tobacco, chocolate and molasses ringed with spicy almost yeasty notes. Another sip pulls up earthy herbal notes and a mineral sensation. Interesting.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness, pours a deep dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is earthy, with lots of dirty yeast and minty herbal notes. Flavour is very earthy and herbal, with dirty yeast qualities. I like the strange herbal character here. Very nice.
