Cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. Just some hints of malts and cola in the aroma. In the mouth it is malty and slightly sweet though a touch watery. Flavour is mainly dark fruits plus aniseed and hints of humbugs. Finish is slightly dry and bitter. It’s reasonable.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln Bristol 3/10/2023. Deep brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of nuts, brown sugar and some red berry sweetness. Flavour had rich and sweet malts, more red fruits and a trace of toastiness before a gentle finish. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Bridge Bier Huis, Burnley. Dark brew with an off-white head. Easy mild, its traditional strength dictates that, with its roasted notes at best in its aftertaste. Sweet in aroma.

Cask at the Hackney Tap - Hackney Central. Pours deep brown with a creamy, light khaki head. Lightly sweet with notes of burnt toast, earth, toasted leaves, slight cocoa, light burnt rubber. Light bodied with soft carbonation and velvety texture. Bittersweet finish, more earth and slight cocoa. So so overall.

Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded z layered malts, rye, nutty, twiggy, earthy bark, raspberry shortbread. Nice. Palate is easy going, rounded, moderate carbonation. Ok.
