Cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. Just some hints of malts and cola in the aroma. In the mouth it is malty and slightly sweet though a touch watery. Flavour is mainly dark fruits plus aniseed and hints of humbugs. Finish is slightly dry and bitter. It’s reasonable.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln Bristol 3/10/2023. Deep brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of nuts, brown sugar and some red berry sweetness. Flavour had rich and sweet malts, more red fruits and a trace of toastiness before a gentle finish. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Bridge Bier Huis, Burnley. Dark brew with an off-white head. Easy mild, its traditional strength dictates that, with its roasted notes at best in its aftertaste. Sweet in aroma.
