Dry vanilla stout. As nice as pastry stouts are, y’know, can get a bit much. So this has a bit less sweetness, a bit more roasted dark chocolate notes

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 30A: vanilla / 15B adapted: low alcohol 0.5%). Can 44 cl - Batch 08 (BB: 07/05/24). AROMA: medium-high powdered cocoa and vanilla notes. APPEARANCE: dark brown body and opaque. medium-low light brown head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium vanilla and powdered-like cocoa flavor. medium bitterness with an almost dry finish and slight roastiness. MOUTHFEEL: low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: the vanilla and cocoa notes overpower everything else since there were very little roasted malt notes detected. unbalanced but drinkable.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a small khaki head. The aroma is sweet heady notes of vanilla, indulgent M&S vanilla yoghurt, roasted malt, touch of chocolate and walnut whip. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, plenty of vanilla, vanilla yoghurt, marshmallow, toasty malts, roasted vines, chocolate and not sure I can tastes the hops.... with a smooth finish. Light+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Perhaps too much vanilla, but fun nonetheless.
