Tap at Beer Dock, Nantwich, 23/03/19. Very light haze on a golden copper pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is bitter fruits, light twig, toffee, leather. Taste comprises dried fruits, light spice, brown bread, dusty fruits, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough bitter.

8th December 2017 Pigs Ear. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, small cream colour head. Light and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry modestly sweet malts. Ripe citrus. Touch of banana esters. Light dry finish. Tastes like a 'new brewery' beer. 2.9

Bottle. Now a bright clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts. Plummy fruits, slightly floral. Very mild spice. Light semi dry crispy finish. Much more assured than when tried 6 years ago.

From cask. Pours hazy orange. Small tan hesd. Aroma is fruity, light toasted. Floral, toffee dry toasted malt. Bitter. Linering solid hoppy and light bodied, yet dense malty backbone. Floral to dry toffee finish.

Bottle from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours amber brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, nut, toffee, hop and dried fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Full bodied, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Traditional bitter, with a dry bitter finish. Enjoyed this.

ABV: 4.2%. Clear medium amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, nutty, caramel, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, nutty, caramel - pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171208]

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours clear red-amber with a frothy, off-white head. Surprisingly piney aroma, some toasted brown bread, grains, maybe et. Light-medium sweet flavourbwih more brown bread, toffee, toasted grains, oily pine. Medium bodiednwith fine carbonation; good condition. Resinous finish, with modest piney bitterness, further toffee, toasted grains, crackers, ripe citrus fruits. Solid overall.
