Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of deep chocolate notes with some strong woody bourbon notes with traces of vanilla. Taste is also a mix of deep chocolate notes with strong woody bourbon notes, light charred notes with a dry finish and traces of vanilla. Body is above average with creamy/oily texture and good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Solid BA stout with great level of complexity.

750ml (thx, Jonathan M.!) @ 🏡 Appearance: pours like oil, very dark brown with a dark brown head. Aroma: intense American oak, almost like a liquid wood, some booze. Taste: thick, lots of American oak, some charred wood, light to medium sweetness, nice body, black chocolate. Overall: very nice, another good example of the new school American Imperial Stouts, a liquid oak.
