Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral coffee notes with some roasted malt and black chocolates with some bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is also a great balanced mix of floral coffee notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes with some roasted malt and black chocolate with light residual sugar notes. Body is full with a nice oily texture and good carbonation with no real alcohol being perceptible. Solid world-class imperial stout.

On tap at Modern Times - Encinitas, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich and complex, with a wonderful blend of bourbon barrels, burnt sugars, and molasses. Flavour is decadent and complex, with heaps of bourbon barrel depth, light vanilla, heaps of molasses and burnt sugars. Certainly on the sweet side without much roast, but no real roast. Wonderful blend. Lovely stuff.

Bourbon soaked oak is a mad good description of this, tons of chocolate notes, some toffee for sure. Delish oaky packed bourbon soaked woody chocolate.
