We have Máni, A Smoked Grisette w/ Brett and Black Garlic. The Black Garlic was picked up from Meadow View Garlic Farm . The base beer is a lightly smoked grisette. Very light smoke, Belgian derived phenolics and light farmhouse character from the Brettanomyces form the base of the beer. The black Garlic was added post ferment and is rich in earthy, umami notes as well as touches of balsamic and honey. This beer is one of a kind, and was definitely a joy to make.

Brown bottle, 473 ml, from Philippe Boutin (merci!), at Sébastien Bertrand, savoured on May 7, 2022; eye: orange with a caramel hue, cloudy, no effervescence, ring of beige head, light lacing; nose: garlic, intense, light fruity, mushroom; mouth: garlic, light fruity, mushroom, light oak, finale in mushroom with presence of oil, medium body, average carbonation, lightly sweet, oily texture; in summary: correct FRANÇAIS
Bouteille brune, 473 ml, de Philippe Boutin (merci!), chez Sébastien Bertrand, savourée le 7 mai 2022; œil : orangée avec une teinte caramel, voilée, pas d'effervescence, anneau de mousse beige, légère dentelle; nez : ail, intense, léger fruité, champignon; bouche : ail, léger fruité, champignon, léger boisé, finale en champignon avec présence d'huile, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement sucrée, texture huileuse; en résumé : correct

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of mushroom, strong garlic notes with hints of smoked isn’t that pleasant. Taste is a mxi of storing mushroom notes with some sweet garlic notes, some grainy notes with hints of smoke. Body is about average with good carbonation. Split the bottle multiple ways but could still not drink my share. Terrible beer.
