This is a slightly smoky version of a traditional English porter. Is the head brewer's favourite beer to brew and to drink, is great for pairing with all kinds of cuisine, from to braised pork belly sandwiches to apple pie. It is dark brown, smooth and complex, but no overwhelming. Lovely beer.

Dark brown colour, minimal creamy beige head; aroma and taste of smoked cheese, roasted rye bread, slight herbal notes and some dark chocolate; good smoked porter, though obviously watery

Cask at TBH, London on 12th June 2015. Sepia brown with a non-lacing pale tan, loose shallow foam. Roasty aromas with a touch of smoke. Caramel maltiness in-mouth followed by a rather sweet finish with just a hint of smoke and roastiness. Medium-bodied with a smoothish mouthfeel.
