Bottled in Bahia. Dark pour, some light maltiness and very very mild bitters. Not bad for a change of pace in Brazil.

Bottled 355ml. -at Pizza Pronta fast food on Recife airport. Almost black coloured, medium sized beige head, touch of caramel and metal in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and light cardboard with sugary and nuttyy notes in the finish. Not bad but a bit too sweet.

On tap @ Devassa Ipanema. Pours clear, almost black with small creamy light brown head. Aroma of herbal hops and light roasted malt. Taste is refreshing grainy and citrusy with light roasty backbone and liquorice. Medium body, creamy texture and fizzy natural carbonation in palate. Fresh spritzy and tasty brew...

Dark brown. The aroma is light toast and brown sugar. Somewhat thin body, light caramel. While not as sweet as the other Brazilian darks, the lack of residual sugar also works against it, gutting it of body and flavour.

35cl bottle in Alphaville, Barueri, SP. Dark mahogany-red under strong light with a nice brownish head and decent lacing. Contains antioxidant and stabilizers. Nothing in particular on the nose, almost flat. Aroma of toasted malts a bit of caramel. Taste is crisp, initially bittersweet then subtly bitter. Finish is dry, quite short, carbonation is sustained, body is thin. Not bad, sessionable, simple.

35,5 bottle, BBE 17.09.2012
Aroma has bready malt with rye, some berries and hints of sugar. Feels like a dunkel. Flavour is quite short and slightly sour with some roastiness, rye bread, some sugar and hints of nettles.

Tap at Devassa Ipanema. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, dark fruit, sweaty sock and metal. The taste is very fruity - berry, prune, plum, cherry and currant, as well as some roasted malt and caramel, with a jammy fruit finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Not bad at all.

Negra Dark Ale
Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color. Very light caramel and roasted malt, also very light dark malt sourness. More like a poor Dunkel than an Ale.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Very malty aroma. Alittle bready but not too bad. Nice sweet flavor, short finish and a little watery, but infact a deasent overseas beer. I like it.
