Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet dark malt, oak, smooth Bourbon, caramel, chocolate, and some booze. Flavour is sweet with some bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. Pleasant and smooth barrel aging, I like this one much better than their BA Oatmeal Stout.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast and oak in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, oak and vanilla. Hint of caramel. I can't really pick up the bourbon. Dry finish. Strange beer but OK.

Bottle @ home, about one year old. Dark colour, but not black. Small beige head with little retention. Aroma's; fruity sourness, caramel, alcohol. Retronasal it's toffee, boozy, fruity alcoholic. Flavor is above moderate sweet with light roasty bitterness. Sharp alcohol feel, hot in the throat. Medium bodied. Finishes dry-ish, woody, moderate bitter.

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, beige head. Aroma: Caramel, Bourbon. Taste: Moderate to medium sweetish malty, caramel, hints of dark red fruit, nuts and wood. Subtle hints of Bourbon, boozy hints. Bit creamy mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness, mostly at finish. Medium to above medium body, below average carbonation. Bit warming mouthfeel. Easy drinkable, no harsh flavours, no really pronounced flavours but overall a pretty nice BA Barley Wine.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color with a red glare coming through, medium sized off-white had that lasts quite a long time. Aroma is malts, ripe dark fruits, can't say I clearly get bourbon. Some boozyness yes, but not specificaly bourbon. Taste malts, booze again but not in a bad way. The flavor and aroma are both sort of smoother than what I tasted in the regular version. Still, not much of a great barley wine imo. Oproer can do better I know.

Bottle. Aroma of caramel, malt, raisin and oak. Taste has ripe malt, raisin, subtle bourbon, licorice and caramel. Little cardboard, bit oxidised. Not very good.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 20-11-19. Slight hazy dark copper color, medium frothy head. Aroma is less herbal than the regular version, but adds cookie and vanilla. Soft vanilla and cookie sweetness. Not too heavy on the barrel aging, and IMO perfect example of how to proper barrel age. Great balance.

Bottle shared at Gekke Geit. Hazy dark brown with beige head. Sweet bourbon, sugary, milk chocolate, vanilla, pecans, sugary, boozy, chocolate milk. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Almost full bodied, low carbonation and quite boozy finish. Nice even though it’s a little boozy.

Sampled from bottle at Gekke Geit. Dark brown with white head. Sweet roasted malts, chocolate, strong booze. Like a shot of Bourbon in there. Sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.
