The story of this beer begins on the family owned lands of producers of organic Mexican blue corn in the province of Michoacán, the flavor of which we conserve in this, our first Slow Beer. Blue corn is an original Mexican plant, and Michoacán has the largest area of organic blue corn in the world. We donate a percentage of our sales to Slow Food Mexico, to help preserve biodiversity.

A blonde cream ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with grassy hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy hops, light mineral notes, light cereals, pleasant. On tap at Sanctuario.

Can. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a good amount of bread and corn notes with a bit of earthy grains underlying. Flavor is similar bread and corn forward with a bit of earthiness and sweet grain in the finish.

Pretty typical Mexican lager but the blue corn adds a nice sweetness. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Bought a single at Liquor Shed. I can't find a date on the 11.2 ounce bottle.
It pours a clear gold with an initial inch of foam. It does last a while.
It smells of corn, malty, some sweetness, no bitterness.
Very corny taste, overwhelming the malty character, some sweetness, some vegetal like flavours.
Light bodied.
Pretty poor beer in my book.

Pujol, CDMX tap: pours copper with a white head. Dogpiss and metal aroma. Taste is better but still not great. Finish is kind of interesting but disappointing. Pujol needs a cicerone.
