A dark copper amber ale with almost no head. A rather pungeant caramel and treacle, a bit vinous, meaty notes, cloying, with some c-hops coming through. In mouth, a oily and vinous malt, with meatextract, loads of c-hops, medling well with malt, warming alcohol in finale. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, 27 August 2009.

Tap at Sac Brew. Pours amber with a stiff off-white head. Fairly strong aroma of citrusy hop. Body approaches full, carbonation is creamy. It laces. Flavor is really mellow. Hop is strong, but not harsh. The IBU must be pretty high though. Finish is definitely quite bitter. It’s very pleasant. Not at all harsh.
