Beer is falsely entered at 15%. No doubt a misreading of the actual 7.5%. Dark brown with a creamy, white head. Aroma of toast, a bit earthy, but underwhelming. Faint bittersweet. Medium-bodied. Wishy washy. Lacks character for a beer of this heft.

Taster at the Taos Tap Room. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a small, tan head. The nose is chalk, light smoke, rye toast, and black pepper. Dry and malty, with a good bitterness. Solid and biting.
