Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Black with a frothy head of modest duration. Aroma full of chocolate biscotti and with cherry undertones. Taste is bitter, quite hoppy up front. Mildly sweet at the back with more chocolate biscotti and a dose of ash. The solidly medium body lacks the chewiness I’d like to see in a beer of this class. Has limp, at times almost (but not quite) watery feel. Otherwise, pleasant.

Dry, roasted, toasted, toasted, chocolate, well, it’s a nice clean roasty brew… decent for it’s style… some hazelnuts, could use some more kick/body..
