Deep amber with a frothy, white head that lingers. Quite fruity aroma for a barley wine .. presumably the „west coast style“. A mix of tropical fruits, apples, and caramel. Taste is mildly sweet up front, full of licorice and brown sugar. Finishes with nectarines and peppermint, but also a bit of booze. Full-bodied, mild carbonation. Warming at the end. Nice.

12 ounce can from the brewery, 3/20/22 (before bed). Hazy amber, medium fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, floral and green hops. Taste is toffee, raisin, piney hops. Full bodied, decent balance, booze present but well integrated. Nice.
