Cask at the Old Mitre, London on 17th March 2010. Almost black with a tan head of foam. Plenty of roast malts and burnt coffee aromas. Slight sourness and a few late citric notes. Dry finish and smooth mouthfeel. The sourness and relatively low strength create a beverage more like a porter than a stout, nevertheless good quaff.
