Thanks Ryan for the can! Poured into a snifter showing cloudy unfiltered orange with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a robust mix of papaya, guava, mango, and subtle pineapple. The palate is full bodied and highly carbonated. Moderately intense flavors of the same pineapple, citrus, with lighter notes of mango. Strong citric edge throughout ending on a moderately sharp IPA bitter note.

Canned 7/22/16, drunk 8/21/16.
About a week older than I prefer drinking these New England IPAs (any hop-forward beer, really) but still showing a large, off-white head atop a thoroughly soupy/murky copper-amber body. Head shows moderate retention.
Big cherry-grapefruit-like nose is spicy, lightly resinous and flecked with honey-graham cracker-like maltiness that helps balance things. Some grassy/perfume notes are interesting, and really sharpen the aroma, while softer, juicier mangoes and pineapples lie on the finish, as the lovely aromatic meld with the base malts. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth itโ€™s full of pineapple, marmalade, ruby red grapefruit and light pine suggestions. Bitterness is stronger than usual for a NE IPA, but still well-controlled as cracker and biscuit malts alongside softer wheat textures help soothe the palate. Tight carbonation. No alcohol or flaw. Orange rind, lemon oil, pine and cherry linger with a dollop of sweet honey-like maltiness. 8/4/8/4/15
8/29/16 can, drunk 9/5/16.
Good to try a very fresh can, though I donโ€™t think it measures up well to the month-old can I had prior, as odd as that sounds. Very strong bitterness, as Bissell is often given to, though here even more pronounced. While the month the prior sample I had rested, it definitely took the edge off of the bitterness/acidity, but given that fresh, as assumedly intended, itโ€™s just too bitter/malty/boozy, Iโ€™m lowering my rating a bit. 8/4/7/3/14
Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Every time I have this, I keep liking it less and less. Boozy, bitter, mushy-sweet and sluggish on the palate. Some people love this type of IPA. I do not. Rating is for this recent sample.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a murky dark gold with some sudsy, white head. Nose has honey comb and orange peel, tropical fruit, candlewax. Flavor is chewy with honey and a little butterscotch, then mango and muddled melon. Full bodied and sticky finish.
