Poured from 500mL bottle (abv listed as 12.6%; thanks Taylor). Very dark brown with small beige head. Chocolate, cognac, some tart dried fruit. As it warms up, it has more flavour. Decent.

500ml @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Appearance: very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: cognac barrel, some vanilla, some fruity notes, a bit of booze maybe. Taste: along the same lines, moderately intense. Overall: quite good.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some nice Cognac notes. Taste is a nice mix of Cognac and black chocolate notes with light residual sugar notes and some faint tobacco notes. Body is full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Very nice mix of compacity and drinkability with good balance of flavours.
