Brown bottle, 500 ml, bottle 059/400, purchased from the brewery on 10 December 2020, savoured on 10 February 2022; eye: black, opaque, no effervescence, tiny ring of beige head, no lacing; nose: rye, chocolate, light alcohol, malt, slight cocoa; mouth: rye, chocolate, light alcohol, malt, slight cocoa, light alcohol, slight alcohol warmth, slight anise, light tea, finale in rye with presence of chocolate, medium body, lightly below average carbonation, lightly sweet, silky texture; in summary: fine FRANÇAIS

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some chocolate notes as well as clear rye barrel-aged notes are perceptible. Taste is also a mix of dry roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes with hints of residual sugar notes and some clear rye notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Nice to drink something that is not overly sweet for once.
