(Bottle) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of cocoa, soy sauce, wet wood; rich, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter sweet finish, with a short mineral after finish. Thick palate. Best in the series I tried yet.

375mL bottle, courtesy of wilco (thanks Mike), pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is loaded with cognac, rich dark fruits, and caramel. Flavour is rich and decadent, with lots of dark dried fruits, cognac barrels, and a little caramel. Those cognac barrels are used beautifully. Rich and decadent, not cloying or too intense. Wonderful.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with light retention and light lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate notes and light coconut notes with some barrel-aging notes is quite enticing. Taste is a good mix of sweet chocolate notes with some faint coconut notes and light Cognac presence with some woody notes is also perceptible. Body is pretty full but lacking some creamy texture notes with some good carbonation and lights warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable but a little bit too thin for the style and somewhat overly sweet.

375ml (thx, Jonathan D.!) @ Phill's shared with Ash. Appearance: very dark brown with a weak brown head. Aroma: cognac barrel, chocolate, some nuts maybe, a bit fruity, some roasted malts. Taste: along the same lines, moderately to high sweet, lots of cognac barrel. When warming up it's becoming even more fruity and complex. Overall: nice one.
