Tap. Pours clear chestnut, small off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma is roasts, malty, toffee, bockee, brown sugar. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Rich and malty, a bit hot perhaps.

Draft. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes caramel, spices, berries, and something undefinable, but weird. The flavor has an acidic edge with notes of caramel, berries, and chewy malts, leading to a dry and slightly acidic finish.

A reddish brown bock with a thin moka head. A light fruity malt aroma with this annoying baked beans notes. In mouth, a cloying oily and sweetish beer, with some sort of unpleasant boiled veggie notes, light ginnger, warming alcohol in finale. Difficult to drink. On tap at brewpub, August 27 2009.

On tap. Clear warm orangey brown with a small off-white head. Intense aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Full-bodied, nut and roasted malt and even some burned caramel. Has a vague underlying tartness. No much hops to be found. 130709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours golden deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is overripe fruity and dark breadish malt. Sweet flavoured, very sweet. Mild infection. Roasted and mild acidic finish.

Dark brown color with off-white head. Malty aroma. Medium body with mild carbonation. Malty and lightly spicey. Guessing lots of noble hop. Finishes sweet, but not overly so. Quite clean for the style. Not exactly the best example of the style.
