2oz taster. Vintage 2022. 12% ABV. Served by Chad, the owner. Appearance: dark purple with a purple head. Aroma: a lot of currants, quite sour up to the point that I would say it is a mix of both red and black currants. A bit boozy. Taste: very sour, loads of black currants, tannic. Finishes with oaky notes and currants. Overall: amazing!

Draft at the meadery. A nice plummy red coloured pour with a lasting loose reddish rich head. Aroma is medium sweet, red berries, cherry, cough syrup, plum jam, cola, red currant. Flavour is composed of medium sweet. Sticky sweet jammy fruits, jammy blackberry, cherry, red currant, vanilla. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, velvety, light tannin. Very good.

A deep dark burgundy red mead with aroma of black cherries, dark fruits, plums, light honey, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity mix of honey, black cherry, light wine and grapeskins, tannins, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at Meadery.

On tap at Garagiste, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma brings out lots of dry red currants, with light oak and subdued honey presence. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of decadent red currants, some gentle oak, light vinous notes and medium sweetness. The currants come out beautiful. Lovely.
