A deep dark reddish brown barley wine with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, light cinnamon hearts, oily mouth feel, light vanilla, pleasant. On tap at Tampa brewery location.

On tap at 7venth Sun, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toffee notes, bready malt and a touch of caramel. Flavour is nicely sweet, with caramel, brown sugar and raisins. Low on the hops, moderate on the sweetness. Expertly constructed and balanced. Excellent.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear brown to mahogany colored body that supports a tall tan head of foam. The aroma offers up notes of boozy molasses, brown sugar, dates and a bit of spicy black strap molasses. The taste delivers similar notes with slippery boozy sweet molasses and brown sugar and then sliding into a bit of a sweet earthy fruity date note. It basically stays that way into the finish. Pretty solid English Style barleywine that should improve with some cellar time.
