Big and malty, thick, sweet, with a moderate hop fade. Looks as heavy as it drinks, with a lovely hazed orange hue. The nose comes off weak, malt-heavy with little sign of the Brit hops. Tastes along the same lines, with a massive caramel malt blitz followed by a tidy, neat bitter finish. This IPA is not for hop freaks, no, but it’s historical leanings make it worth trying, and those who find pleasure in the occasional English Strong Ale will dig this brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a white head that laced a bit. Aroma was full of pine and grassy hops with a malt undertone. Flavor had nice pine flavor with a grassy and malty finish.

Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy deep orange leaving rim from the white head. Aroma is mild malty, not strongly hoppy but presence. flavour is slight citric, strong malt profile with good hoppy bitterness taking over into the finish.

On tap at Town Hall during the RBSG 2007 Pub Crawl. Clear light golden body with a small frothy white head. Sweet grassy hops aroma. Grassy hops flavor with some light caramel in the end.

Not their best IPA; a style they are really into at this brewery. Cloudy yellow. Hops aroma. Flavor is also of hops; some sweetness. Strong and thin.
