Cask @ The Salopian, the pub. Pours black, thin pale tan bubbles. Light bodied, pleasantly sweet, mild roast, detectable liquorice hints. Sessionable, light Welsh dark ale.

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of liquorice, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, texture is a little too thin, soft carbonation. Apart from being a bit thin, this was enjoyable.

Cask at Ye Olde Hole In The Wall. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has nice roasted malt notes supported by dark grains and a light dryness. Flavor has sweet dark grains supported by light roast and a bit chocolate underlying.

ABV: 4.7%. Dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, burnt, light soy sauce. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, burnt, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171014]

Cask @ Waterhouse, manchester. Black with a thin off-white head. Smooth textured, but has something of a grittiness within its stated roasted malts.
