Roasty, earthy and sweetish with hints of tonka, coffee, vanilla and syrup. A bit unbalanced

440ml. Alko web. Opaque colour, small beige head. Tonka beans, cocoa in the nose. Full-bodied. Sweet, cocoa, bitterness, tonka beans and vanilla in the flavour. Some alcohol too. Still, tonka beans out of beer!

Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, decent dark tan head. Smooth luxuriant palate, slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Smooth soft rich dark chocolate malts, well integrated dark chocolate malt cream. Soft cinnamon, quite rich, integrated nicely. Lovely pastry, a dark chocolate cinnamon donut. Yum!

Can from Brygshoppen. Small head with short duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich tonka beans, canilla, coffee, roast malt, chocolate and has a nice tonka finish. Nice and creamy beer.

Can at home, from HOTM online (I presume), 08/09/24. Pitch black with a big old lasting dirty tan head. Nose is dark malts, rich roast, coffee bean, vanilla, coffee latte, light spice. Taste comprises earthy roast, molasses, tonka bite, coffee grinds, vanilla, brown sugar melt, tiramisu coffee mix. Full bodied, viscous oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid pastry work ... the tonka maintains a bitter balance.

Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, tonka, vanilla, roasted, taste is similar, rich, creamy, not getting much coffee.

A good pastry stout, but very sweet and not enough spice or roast to back it, just too similar to everything else. Guild box
