Brewed in collaboration with our friends at KEX in Iceland, we created an Icelandic inspired Imperial Stout. Huge dark chocolate notes dominate from using Omnom Dark Cocao Nibs, from Iceland. Vanilla and Lactose help add body and complexity. Finishes with a pleasantly soft salt character from using Icelandic Sea Salt.

Tap@Brewskival 2018, Helsingborg - pours black with a tan head. Sweet and slight roasted malty with prominent opulent chocolate, some caramel and toffee sweetness, smooth creamy body and mouthfeel, some vanilla into the dark malty close. Lovely. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kex Imperial Stout on 26 Mar 2025 at 06:27 - Score: 8. Original review text: EB Brewskival 2018

Can 1 pint. Listed as 9,0% on the can. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Nose has a little vanilla and sweet roast. Rich, sweet, malt roasty body, again a hint of vanilla mostly. Cocoa and sea salt I cannot find. But a delicious Sweet Stout. 080618

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with licorice, molasses, coffee grind, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with caramel notes, coffee crisp, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, silky mouth feel, very nice and smooth. On tap at Lupulus.
