Can from Tavour. Can foamed over. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Aroma of dark roasty malt with that lactose thing. Not quite med body. Malty/roasty. Not dry. Burnt malt bitterness. Lactose all the way through.

Aromas are dark malt, toast and maybe a hint of toffee. Flavors are better than nose. Maybe a hint of coffee not overly sweet and really freaking good. This is dialed in. Just super good stout.

Can taster pour at Rhode Island Brew fest. Opaque black with nice head, decent lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee. Taste is sweet, roasted malt, vanilla. Smooth texture, soft carbonation as taste. Lactose makes it a bit too sweet.

16 ounce can. Jet black pour. Large, creamy tan head. 16 ounce can from Tavour. Subtle, sweet roasted malt aroma. Flavor is soft and supple. Sweet roasted malt, caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. A classic example of the style.

16 oz can. Only took me 6 years to buy and rate this. HA! Aroma is milk chocolate and light roast. Flavor of roasted malt, light cocoa, coffee-ish hints, and chocolate. Proper mouthfeel and texture. Proper in every regard.

Pours a deep, oily black, with mid-sized, tan head. Aroma of roasted grain, some nuts, chocolate. Flavor follows, with a light sweetness. This is pretty good.

On nitro at the brewery, pours an opaque black, stratified khaki head. Nose of chocolate and licorice and molasses, lactose is there, milk chocolate. Flavor is thick, chocolate syrup, raisinette, molasses, licorice. Finishes off dry, sticky. Long finish. Drinks bigger than 5.4%. 8 5 8 5 15
