During a Vermont winter, we embrace the freeze. We relish in the cold wonders the region delivers, and our dark beers get us through the frigid. Yet we long for warmth and even dream of the tropics. While splitting wood for a fire, a vision emerged of cracking coconuts on a hot sunny beach, and Split Seasonality was born. This smooth 7% ABV stout combines a thick dark winter ale with coconut flavors of the tropics and a dash of rich vanilla, somehow splitting the frozen season in two and carrying us through to a thaw, where warmth may naturally emerge again.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a small khaki cap of a head. Dissipated and didn't leave any lace.
Aroma: roasty stout components with genuine coconut
Flavor: sweet and roasty through the prior noted aromas; mild aftertaste of coconut
Texture: about medium bodied - maybe a touch under, good sipper, finishes dry and roasty while the coconut is a bit more faded here
Overall: great job on this, especially using real coconut and keeping it at a level which isn't distracting.

16 oz. can. Even when cold, the aroma shows a lasting coconut. Flavor is bold roasted malt, coconut, and light bitter chocolate for balance. Body and texture are really great for the gravity. This is by far the best beer I have had from this brewery.
