Can from total wine. Pour is pale and almost clear. Aroma was mild and pleasant, then I took a drink, yeeeow. First, up front I get this fading lemon twist, then, immediately bitter kicks me back. Yes, I know kolsch is supposed to be a little bitter but this stuff is really getting astringent in the middle. It continues to build into a near phenol meltdown. This is a big can and I may have trouble finishing this, whew. I don't know, maybe this is an old can or a different batch, everybody else seems to think this stuff is pretty good. I don't see a date code on here anywhere. Well, let's see if I can bottom this can. I've never done a walken tree before so I can't compare any of the enjoyability of their other brews to this one. Getten to the bottom, the bitter bite is not growing on me. Thank goodness there is at least some co2 to distract me from the taste.
