Amber Lager - Fair Acre honors the tradition of amber lagers brewed across Europe. This refined, malty lager expresses flavors and aromas of biscuit, caramel, and toffee. Deep ruby hues shine through this brilliant lager. Gently hopped with German-grown Hallertau and Tettnanger hops for a classic floral and herbal aroma. Brewed with a rich malt flavor, a nimble, light body makes this offering impeccable for year-round enjoyment. Fair Acre is crafted to celebrate the best characteristics of traditional European-style amber lagers.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: ruddy orange to copper color with a sly transparency about it, one finger white foamy head dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel/toffe malts, roasted nuts, toast, earthy character and a touch of grassiness
Flavor: slightly sweet blending the prior mentioned aromas together finely with a quick malty to nutty aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, nice smooth feel on the tongue; finishes with nutty and malty semi-rugged-ness
Overall: good amber lager I'd be willing to come back to.

This pounder can from a gift pours amber. I'm always confused about amber as a description for color but amber is is said to be a pure chroma color, located on the color wheel midway between the colors of yellow and orange. The color name is said to be derived from the material also known as amber, which is commonly found in a range of yellow-orange-brown-red colors; likewise, as a color amber can refer to a range of yellow-orange colors. But anyway this is just an off color pale. So be it. The nose is somewhat malty and possibly indicating a little fun in my future. Yes, at 5%, this is almost promising for the king's pounder. Taste is malty as well, reminds me of many Irish red ales. Interestingly smooth, just like a lager should be. Yea as good as the red ales of Beaver Horny Sheepherder, Brew Keepers Eireann Dearg and Biker JD's Rumblin' Red Ale. OK maybe like international red ale like Frankenmuth Old Detroit Amber or Atlanta Laughing Skull Amber Ale (2009 - present) North Peak Siren or even Atlanta Laughing Skull Amber Ale (2009 - present) But as far as amber lager international goes, this is somewhat like Trader José Dark, Trader José Dark Premium Lager, Brick Waterloo Dark Michelob AmberBock or Pittsburgh Augustiner Dark. Not bad overall for the style.

12oz can, head gushed a little on the pop, then settles to a clear amber with some off white head.  Nose is butterscotch and malt and caramel.  Cream soda and butterscotch and malt in the mouth.  Some blondie.  Off dry and lightly flabby.  6 3 6 2 10

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 24 Jan 2023) Amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty nose with roasted malt, orange peel, treacle-toffee and toast. Malty taste with notes of toast, bread, treacle-toffee, caramel, orange peel, apricot marmalade and a mild grassy bitterness. Merdium body, with a touch of sweetness. Harmonious and well balanced amber lager. Very nice.
