From a can, big dark impressive pour with a head to look at. Nose is slightly roasted dark malt. Heavy volatile boozy dark beer initial uptake in the pie whole. Yes, quite a whack. Was expecting something more civilized but hey, its heavy seas (HS) and I see the label is 6.8%. I guess I should have known, not many heavy HS brews are civilized, can't remember many. Good slug tho; I think this should be styled as a baltic porter, it really does have the same forward attributes, you know, in yer face a little, telling you what it is, heheh. hey comrade, I'm a big fat porter, get used to it' Yes, pretty long old damp, mostly burnt, campfire wood charcoal, remains as a finish. There you have it.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a pitch black color with a thick dark tan head and very good retention. Fair lacing. Aroma of dark roasted coffee and some booze. Very dark roasted coffee flavor dominates with some dark bittering chocolate notes in the finish. Medium body. Lower carbonation. Good, but more coffee and bitterness than I prefer. The 6.8% ABV is well hidden.
